Saint Rose as a Peony Tulip

Rose of Viterbo----September 4
Patroness of Florists
A child prodigy of sorts, Rose had her first vision at eight----in 1242-----when the Blessed Virgin told her to start wearing the habit of Saint Francis of Assisi. Dressed as a male monk, the little girl hit the streets of the Italian town of Viterbo, preaching in her high, childish voice against the excommunicated Emperor Frederick.

I normally don't like photographs of flowers, but your painting of this is wonderful!
